Your responsibilities:

  • working on funded projects (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) with an emphasis on one or more of the following topics:  User Centered Service, User Centered Design, Design Thinking, Creativity, hybrid learning, Conversational Agents 
  • participate in Creativity Workshops as Coach
  • preparation of presentations and reports
  • working in an interdisciplinary team
  • working on a PhD or scientific research

Your qualifications:

  • University degree (Diploma, Master) in Business Studies, Information Systems, Computer Science, Creative Studies or comparable studies
  • Proficient User of the German (mandatory) and English language
  • Candidates should be able to work independently and in a team 
  • Experiences in Project Management, Design Thinking, and in communicating and networking with companies is helpful.

Your tasks:
The candidate will
• collaborate in various research projects and should support the team in writing grant applications and project proposals for the BMBF, EU etc.,
• support teaching activities
• do own research for PHD

Your profile:
The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Management, Information Management, Management Information Systems, Psychology or equivalent and must be fluent in English and German. Candidates should have relevant research experience of working at the interface of management and information systems; should be experienced in both quantitative, qualitative and design research methods; should have experience with scientific publications; and should have experience in writing project proposals. Experience in project management is an advantage.
Candidates should work and ideally have some research experiences in the area of information management, innovation management preferably with reference to collaboration and communication, design thinking and innovation methods as well as creativity.

Title: Short-term Postdoctoral Fellow in Marine Acoustics / Data Science (m-f-d)

Location: The Department of Physics and Earth Sciences

Your tasks:
• Software development, implementation, and enhancement of underwater acoustic multibeam systems (mbsystem)
• Extension of the existing infrastructure for data integration, management, and visualisation (RasDaMan)
• Participation in German Science Foundation project NFDI4Earth

Your profile:
• University degree (PhD) in Geoinformatics, Hydrography, Marine Sciences, Physics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or similar
• Experience and strong programming skills in C++, preferably C++11, Boost Framework, and Git and GitHub/BitBucket repository management
• Good knowledge of hydrography, marine sciences, acoustics
• Familiarity with thread-parallel processing, network protocols and Matlab is a plus -Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Title: External Lecturer

Location: Computer Graphics

Position Type: limited for the Fall 2022 semester

Your tasks:

Applicants have a Ph.D. degree in an area directly relevant to the module(s) they wish to teach and have experience in research, teaching and/or practical application in the field. External lecturers will take over the responsibility of teaching the modules as well as handling the modules’ examination and grading, and will be reachable to their students also outside the official lecture time throughout the semester. 

Furthermore, the applicants are expected to be characterized by tolerance and openness and suited to work in an international and diverse environment.

Successful candidates should be available to begin in September 2022 (Fall 2022 semester).

  • Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline and/or proven practice and applied experiences
  • Thorough expertise in the relevant area of the respective module(s)
  • Fluent in English, the language of instruction and communication on campus
